Hebrew title within architectural arch, Latin and Greek letterpress title. ff. 112, 166, (1), 94, pp. (7); and pp. (4), 264, (4). Browned and stained, Hebrew title with signature crudely excised resulting in two small holes. Later polished calf with twin clasps and hinges, upper cover loose, gutter split. 8vo. Vinograd, Amsterdam 45; Darlow & Moule 4684 & 5127; Silva Rosa 28.

Menasseh ben Israel for J. Jansson, Amsterdam: 1637-39. Est: $500 - $700

-The third Menasseh ben Israel Bible. This copy contains the rare blank following f. 166 which according to Fuks (167) was “later cut out”. This double-columned Menasseh ben Israel Tanach was apparently preferred by the Vilna Gaon when executing his mystical Goral HaGr’a.
